The Roswell Invaders (19-7) blew out the Alpine Cowboys (21-7) 8-2 on Sunday at Joe Bauman Park after pouring on five runs in the eighth inning.

The Roswell Invaders scored in the eighth on a two-run double by Ernie Zaragoza, an RBI double by Jordan Johnson, a single by Sam Montgomery, and a two-run single by Matt Streich.

Johnson had two extra-base hits for the Roswell Invaders.

Zaragoza got the win for the Roswell Invaders thanks to 13 strikeouts. Zaragoza allowed two earned runs on five hits and four walks over eight innings.

Andrew Shoemaker couldn't get it done on the hill for the Alpine Cowboys, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.

The Roswell Invaders' Montgomery, Ryan Retz, Johnson and Zaragoza combined for nine hits and five RBIs.
