The Santa Fe Fuego best the Las Vegas Train Robbers in shootout, 9-8

The bats were busy at Fort Marcy Park on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Santa Fe Fuego (45-22) had a 9-8 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (16-42).

The teams totaled 25 hits in the game.

Eric Kozel boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Santa Fe Fuego. He homered in the second inning, singled in the fourth and sixth innings, and tripled in the ninth inning.

Miguel Castano racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Alex Teal got his fourth win for the Santa Fe Fuego despite allowing five runs over six innings. Teal struck out six, walked four and gave up six hits.

Corey Delghan (3-3) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
