An impressive effort by Evan Richard lifted the Raton Osos (23-39) to an 18-9 win over the Taos Blizzard (22-41) on Tuesday at Gabriele Park.

Richard racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Raton Osos. He singled in the third inning and homered in the second and seventh innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 27 total runs and 30 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using nine pitchers in total.

The Raton Osos stamped out any hope for the Taos Blizzard with five runs in the eighth. The Raton Osos scored in the eighth on , an RBI single by Zach Kreeger, a groundout by Richard, and a two-run single by Mitchell.

Sampel got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Douglas Diaz (0-1) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just one inning, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Raton Osos hammered the Taos Blizzard pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 10 hits, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
