The Lower Columbia offense too much for the Columbia Basin in 11-3 rout

The Lower Columbia (15-5) shut the door early on the Columbia Basin (9-12), capturing an 11-3 victory on Saturday at Skagit Valley.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Lower Columbia to put the game away early.

A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Kuulei Siolo in the first inning and an RBI single by Ashley Wells, a sacrifice fly by Haley Hibbs, and an RBI single by Siolo during the second inning helped the Lower Columbia put some runs on the board early.

Sierra Richards racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Lower Columbia. He homered in the sixth inning.

Julia Breidt picked up the win for the Lower Columbia. Breidt allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings of work.

Bailey Walthers put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Columbia Basin. He doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Bryanna DeRoos (0-2) took the loss for the Columbia Basin. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked two and struck out none.
