A walk-off single from Evan Ramirez brought home the winning run for the Nevada Big Horns (4-6) in a 12-11 victory over the Next Level Athletics at Western Nevada College on Sunday.
Ramirez racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Nevada Big Horns. He singled in the fourth, sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.
The two teams combined for 23 runs and 28 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were seven pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.
Kyle Pruneau had two extra-base hits for the Nevada Big Horns. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the ninth inning.
The Next Level Athletics had no answer for Colin Spencer, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Spencer held the Next Level Athletics hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Markle was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out three.
