Julia Rambo was cold coming off the bench, but Rambo warmed up quickly as Rambo stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Wenatchee Valley (18-3) to a 7-5 win over the Yakima Valley (9-9) on Wednesday at Dunbar Field .
With the Wenatchee Valley trailing by two in the sixth inning, Rambo came to the plate and singled, plating Marie Beagle.
It was a good day at the plate for the Wenatchee Valley's Ashley Wilkey. Wilkey went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh innings.
Rambo had an impressive outing against the Yakima Valley's lineup. Rambo held the Yakima Valley hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
April Shipley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out three.
