The Healdsburg Prune Packers (8-6) beat the Sonoma County Chili Gods 5-2 on Monday at Recreation Park behind Tyler Meditz, who went 2-2.

The Sonoma County Chili Gods had no answer for Clayton Gelfand, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Sonoma County Chili Gods managed just one hit off of the the Healdsburg Prune Packers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Vijay Patel improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Healdsburg Prune Packers. He allowed two runs over five innings. Patel struck out five, walked four and gave up four hits.

Kyle Mitchell couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Sonoma County Chili Gods, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
