The Anchorage Bucs get on top of the Anchorage Glacier Pilots early but can't hang on in 4-1 loss

The Anchorage Bucs (1-2) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-1 to the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (2-1) on Monday.

An RBI single by Justin Protacio gave the Anchorage Glacier Pilots the lead in the fifth inning.

Nikko Saenz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Cameron Pongs had an impressive outing against the Anchorage Bucs' lineup. The Anchorage Bucs managed just two hits off of Pongs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Anchorage Bucs' Trevor Lacosse dominated the Anchorage Glacier Pilots' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Spencer Wright ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
