Shaun Chase went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Falmouth Commodores (23-16) took home a 5-3 victory over the Bourne Braves (24-15) at Doran Park on Wednesday.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.Kevin McCanna kept contact to a minimum, striking out four the Bourne Braves batters. The Falmouth Commodores' pitcher gave up just six hits over five shutout innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Bourne Braves' Blake Davey. Davey went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Travis Bergen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
