RJ Ybarra went 2-3, sparking the Orleans Firebirds (19-11) to a 3-2 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (13-18) on Friday at Eldredge Park.
He singled in the first and eighth innings.The Hyannis Harbor Hawks couldn't get anything going as long as Josh Sborz was pitching. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just two hits off of the the Orleans Firebirds' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his five innings of work.
Peter Fairbanks was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
