Story by Narrative Science.

The Bourne Braves (19-9) jumped on the Chatham Anglers (12-15) early on their way to an 8-3 win on Saturday at Doran Park, scoring four runs in the first inning.

The Bourne Braves scored in the first on an error, a two-run single by Harrison Bader, and an RBI single by Brett Sullivan.

Bader racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Bourne Braves.

The Bourne Braves relied on Travis Bergen to eat up innings en route to the win. Bergen allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Kal Simmons did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Chatham Anglers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Max Tishman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked three and struck out four.
