The Brewster Whitecaps get on top of the Hyannis Harbor Hawks early but can't hang on in 4-1 loss

The Brewster Whitecaps (5-5) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-1 to the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (6-4) on Saturday.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks took the lead in the fifth inning on an RBI double by Matthew Britton.

Donnie Dewees Jr. put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Jordan Minch's six strikeouts helped the Hyannis Harbor Hawks to the victory. Minch allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.

Mikey White did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Brewster Whitecaps, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Andrew Lee was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
