Four first-inning runs helped the Brewster Whitecaps (2-2) to a 5-2 win over the Bourne Braves (4-1) at Stony Brook on Sunday.

The Brewster Whitecaps scored in the first on a two-run double by Luke Lowery, a groundout by Zach Gibbons, and an RBI single by Gio Brusa.

Brusa racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brewster Whitecaps.

Andrew Lee had an impressive outing against the Bourne Braves' lineup. Lee gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out six during his six innings of work.

Samuel Kmiec (0-1) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
