The Seacoast Mavericks (21-22) beat the Nashua Silver Knights (23-19) 4-3 on Saturday at Holman Stadium behind Martin Tavares, who drove in three runs.
He homered in the seventh inning.Carson Helms had a hot bat for the Nashua Silver Knights. Helms went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.
Jordan Quinn recorded his first win of the year for the Seacoast Mavericks. He allowed three runs over six innings. Quinn struck out six, walked two and gave up six hits.
Sam Nepiarsky was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
