A gem on the rubber by Tom Hudon wasn't enough to carry the Nashua Silver Knights (11-12) to a win on Thursday, as the Nashua Silver Knights fell to the Seacoast Mavericks (14-12) 3-0 at Holman Stadium.
Hudon had an impressive outing against the Seacoast Mavericks' lineup. The Seacoast Mavericks managed just one hit off of Hudon, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his seven innings of work.
Chris Hess racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Seacoast Mavericks. He homered in the eighth inning.
The Nashua Silver Knights' lineup had no answer for James Vernon. The Nashua Silver Knights managed just one hit off of the the Seacoast Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Hudon (0-3) took the loss for the Nashua Silver Knights.
