The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-12) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Torrington Titans (11-10) roared back to steal a 5-4 victory at Fuessenich Park.

While the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs led until the ninth inning, the Torrington Titans worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by RJ Going.

Nick DeLotto got on base three times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Zachary LaRosa brought the heat against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs during his outing. LaRosa gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Connor Smith was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Torrington Titans batters and allowing three runs.

Kyle Dube got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Matt Russell (0-1) took the loss for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
