Nick Lops collected four hits, sparking the North Shore Navigators (7-13) to an 11-7 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (8-10) on Wednesday at Fraser Field.
He singled in the fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings.Steve Dill had a hot bat for the Pittsfield Suns. Dill went 3-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Cole Chandler improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. Chandler struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Perry Kulaga couldn't get it done on the mound for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
