Wilson's single propels the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide past the Seacoast Mavericks, 7-2

Three first-inning runs helped the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (4-9) to a 7-2 win over the Seacoast Mavericks (5-9) at The Ball Park on Friday.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide scored in the first on an RBI single by Aaron Wilson, an RBI single by Graham McIntire, and a sacrifice fly by Mekae Hyde.

Paul McDonough had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fourth inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

Ben Greenberg had an impressive outing against the Seacoast Mavericks' lineup. Greenberg held the Seacoast Mavericks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three.

Ryan Gendron had two extra-base hits for the Seacoast Mavericks. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Brian OKeefe improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Jarrod Widdows ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide were sparked by Wilson and McDonough, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
