A six-run explosion in the seventh inning carried the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (7-4) to an 11-1 win over the Nashua Silver Knights at Holman Stadium on Wednesday.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Tim Bickford, a two-run single by Will Toffey, , an RBI single by Wade McNabb, and a wild pitch.

Toffey racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks.

Matt Quintana pitched lights out for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. The Nashua Silver Knights (5-6) managed just two hits off of the the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Tom Hudon (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
