The Brockton Rox (7-0) beat the Worcester Bravehearts (6-2) 6-3 on Thursday at Fitton Field behind Joe Freiday, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.

The Worcester Bravehearts had no answer for Andrew David, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Worcester Bravehearts managed just three hits off of David, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Darian Ramage did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Worcester Bravehearts, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

The Brockton Rox couldn't get anything going as long as Sean Gustin was pitching. The Brockton Rox managed just one hit off of the the Worcester Bravehearts' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Sam Ross ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
