The Nashua Silver Knights (2-2) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-3 ballgame against the Pittsfield Suns (2-3) on Sunday at Holman Stadium.

While the Nashua Silver Knights led until the eighteenth inning, the Pittsfield Suns worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Brenden Geary.

Jeff McGarry was solid at the plate for the Pittsfield Suns. McGarry went 4-9 and drove in one. He singled in the third, fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Nashua Silver Knights had no answer for Perry Kulaga, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Nashua Silver Knights managed just one hit off of the the Pittsfield Suns' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Blake Drew got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Cody Gilchrist was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
