Early lead gives the Top Speed Baseball easy victory over the Nevada Big Horns, 19-4

The Top Speed Baseball (28-4) jumped out to an early lead on the Nevada Big Horns (8-23) and captured a 19-4 victory on Monday at McQueen HS.

The game was decided quickly as the Top Speed Baseball exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Wes Koenig, a sacrifice fly by Ricky Rodriguez Jr., and an RBI double by Steven Knudson in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Top Speed Baseball.

Rodriguez Jr. put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball.

Jake Harris went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Nevada Big Horns. He doubled in the second innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Alex Watson improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed two runs over four innings. Watson struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Zachary Muenster (2-5) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed 13 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.

The Top Speed Baseball pounded the Nevada Big Horns pitching, as six hitters combined for 17 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
