The Inland Valley Pirates didn't put up much of a fight on Sunday, as the Top Speed Baseball (22-3) cruised to a blowout 12-3 win at Cal Poly Pomona.
The Top Speed Baseball scored five runs in the ninth on the Top Speed Baseball scored in the ninth on a fielder's choice, a two-run double by Ryne Dean, a double by Tyler Davis, and a double by Josh Egan.
Matthew Haskins put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He doubled in the third and fifth innings and singled in the ninth inning.
Dino Cristiani pitched lights out for the Top Speed Baseball. Cristiani gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Joey Lucchesi recorded his second win of the year for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered three hits.
The Top Speed Baseball were sparked by Steven Knudson and Haskins, who teamed up for seven hits and five RBIs.
