The Schaumburg Boomers make the most of 4 hits in 4-2 victory over the Normal CornBelters

The Schaumburg Boomers (60-35) and the Normal CornBelters (48-46) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-2 win at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Alexi Colon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Schaumburg Boomers. He homered in the seventh inning.

Eddie Cody kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Normal CornBelters batters. Cody allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over seven innings.

Jhiomar Veras had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Jason Postill couldn't get it done on the mound for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
