Kevin Taylor was cold coming off the bench, but Taylor warmed up quickly as Taylor stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the Traverse City Beach Bums (38-55) to a 4-1 win over the Rockford Aviators (37-56) on Sunday at Wuerfel Park.

With the Traverse City Beach Bums leading by two, Taylor came to the plate and singled.

Jose Vargas racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Tanner Tripp picked up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Tripp allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.

The Rockford Aviators were led by Elijah Trail's hitting. Trail went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

Kyle Hassna (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
