Brian Hansen was cold coming off the bench, but Hansen warmed up quickly as Hansen stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the River City Rascals (57-34) to a 3-2 win over the Lake Erie Crushers (51-39) on Friday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.
With the score tied at two in the eighth inning, Hansen came to the plate and singled.
Curran Redal went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.
Trey Lambert got the win, running his season record to 3-1. Lambert struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.
Brandon Smith (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
