Cameron Monger drove in four runs, helping the Frontier Greys (28-55) to an 8-3 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (50-34) on Thursday at Rent One Park, Mariion, IL.

Chris Burke had two extra-base hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He homered in the fifth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

The Frontier Greys had no answer for Anthony Montefusco, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Frontier Greys managed just three hits off of the the Southern Illinois Miners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Clint Wright got the win, running his season record to 7-6. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered six hits.

James Bierlein ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
