Max Casper went 1-2, sparking the Joliet Slammers (30-48) to a 2-1 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (44-33) on Thursday at Silver Cross Field.
He singled in the fifth inning.Matt Costello picked up the win for the Joliet Slammers. Costello pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and five walks while striking out four.
Jason Wilson allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Wilson was charged with his fifth loss of the year.
