The Frontier Greys outdone by Burney and the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-5

Joey Burney went 2-3, helping the Lake Erie Crushers (41-32) to a 6-5 victory over the Frontier Greys (25-48) on Saturday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

The Frontier Greys had no answer for Jason Wilson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Frontier Greys managed just one hit off of the the Lake Erie Crushers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Trevor Longfellow improved to 5-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Cameron Lamb couldn't get it done on the bump for the Frontier Greys, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
