Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Schaumburg Boomers make the most of 9 hits in 5-4 victory over the Washington Wild Things

Story by Narrative Science.

The Schaumburg Boomers (42-30) and the Washington Wild Things (45-27) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-4 win at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

The fact that the Schaumburg Boomers grouped all of their runs into the fourth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Eddie Cody got the win for the Schaumburg Boomers thanks to six strikeouts. Cody allowed one earned run on six hits and three walks over six innings.

Carter Bell racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Troy Marks was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
