The Schaumburg Boomers scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Mark Nelson, a double by Clark Labitan, , and a double by Michael Valadez.

Valadez racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers.

Joey Burney went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the second and eighth innings.

Cal Bowling recorded his sixth win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed two runs over five innings. Bowling struck out two, walked two and gave up six hits.

Matt Rein couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
