The Frontier Greys (21-42) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Gateway Grizzlies (37-26), recording a 14-1 victory on Tuesday at GCS Ballpark.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Frontier Greys left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Jon Minucci, a passed ball, a two-run error, and a two-run error during the first inning and an RBI single by Minucci in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Frontier Greys.

Joe Rapp racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Frontier Greys. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Brandon Rohde racked up six strikeouts in the the Frontier Greys win. Rohde allowed one earned run on eight hits and no walks over six innings.

Aaron Newcomb ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
