The Windy City ThunderBolts (22-37) didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as the Joliet Slammers (23-37) captured a blowout 16-5 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

The Joliet Slammers scored six runs in the sixth on the Joliet Slammers scored in the sixth on a groundout by Danny Hernandez, a single by Christopher Epps, a two-run single by Max Casper, a double by Grant DeBruin, a single by Russell Moldenhauer, and a single by JD Dorgan.

DeBruin racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Joliet Slammers.

The Windy City ThunderBolts had no answer for Sam Moore, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Moore held the Windy City ThunderBolts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ryan McIntyre racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Colin Gotzon got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed four runs over five innings. Gotzon struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Josh Spence (0-5) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.

The Joliet Slammers pounded the Windy City ThunderBolts pitching, as six hitters combined for 18 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
