The Southern Illinois Miners (34-25) didn't have a chance on Friday, as the Washington Wild Things (38-21) won in blowout fashion, 8-2 at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

A two-run single by Scott Kalamar delivered the runs in the seventh. The Washington Wild Things had two hits in the inning.

C.J. Beatty racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Washington Wild Things. He homered in the third inning.

The Washington Wild Things relied on Zac Fuesser to eat up innings en route to the win. Fuesser allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
