Tuesday was a great day for Chris Sweeney, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Evansville Otters (34-22) to a 15-5 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts (21-36) at Standard Bank Stadium.
Sweeney racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings and homered in the first and eighth innings.
The Evansville Otters blew out the Windy City ThunderBolts thanks to 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. Taylor Dennis improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed four runs over five innings. Dennis struck out two, walked four and gave up five hits.
Tad Barton (0-2) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
