The Schaumburg Boomers (30-23) continued to pile up the runs on Friday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-2 win over the Rockford Aviators (23-29) at Aviator Stadium.

Clark Labitan brought the heat against the Rockford Aviators during his outing. Labitan held the Rockford Aviators hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

The Rockford Aviators were led by Ryan Breen's hitting. Breen went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Danny Jimenez got the win, running his season record to 4-3. He allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Josh Slaats (3-2) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out three.

The Schaumburg Boomers' Brian McConkey, Dean, Joe De Pinto and Nelson combined for 11 hits and five RBIs.
