Zach Fowler kept the Lake Erie Crushers (26-24) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Evansville Otters (30-18) beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-1.

Fowler struck out eight and allowed three walks and seven hits.

Shayne Houck had two extra-base hits for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Mickey Jannis couldn't get it done on the bump for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.

Chris Sweeney, Phillip Wilson and Houck helped lead the Evansville Otters. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
