The River City Rascals (30-18) shut the door early on the Windy City ThunderBolts (17-31), capturing an 11-2 victory on Friday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the River City Rascals to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Saxon Butler during the first inning and an RBI single by Eric Williams, an error, and a fielder's choice in the second inning supplied the early offense for the River City Rascals.

Chase Doremus pitched lights out for the River City Rascals. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just three hits off of Doremus, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Tad Barton was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
