Chris Ellison went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Frontier Greys (13-35) took home an 8-5 victory over the Florence Freedom (21-25) at UC Health Stadium on Thursday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Florence Freedom's Chance Ross. Ross went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

Brandon Rohde got his fourth win for the Frontier Greys despite allowing five runs over eight innings. Rohde struck out six, walked none and gave up nine hits.

Michael ONeal ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
