A superb effort by Chad James led the Evansville Otters (27-17) to a 10-0 win in seven innings over the Traverse City Beach Bums on Wednesday at Bosse Field.

Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Evansville Otters to easily put away the Traverse City Beach Bums (18-28). A three-run home run by Shayne Houck and a two-run home run by Chris Sweeney during the first inning and an RBI single by Sweeney and a two-run double by Jeremy Nowak in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Evansville Otters.

Josh Allen racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the first and second innings and homered in the fifth inning.

James got the win, running his season record to 4-2. James struck out 14, walked four and gave up no hits.

Alex Phillips (0-5) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
