Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Washington Wild Things make the most of 4 hits in 4-1 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers

Story by Narrative Science.

The Washington Wild Things (29-17) and the Lake Erie Crushers (24-22) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Washington Wild Things capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at CONSOL Energy Park.

The fact that the Washington Wild Things grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Daniel Poma racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Washington Wild Things. He tripled in the third inning.

Scott Dunn got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed one run over five innings. Dunn struck out two, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Zach Gordon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
