The Southern Illinois Miners (19-16) rolled over the Frontier Greys (9-26) 7-1 on Wednesday at Rent One Park, Marion, IL after a four-run rally in the sixth inning.

The Southern Illinois Miners scored in the sixth on an error, an RBI single by Jared McDonald, and a two-run double by Ryan Cavan.

Frank Martinez was hot from the plate for the Southern Illinois Miners. Martinez went 3-4 and scored one run.

Matt Bywater racked up eight strikeouts in the the Southern Illinois Miners win. Bywater allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over eight innings.

Chris Ellison did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Frontier Greys, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.
