The Florence Freedom (9-7) beat the Lake Erie Crushers (9-7) 6-1 in seven innings on Wednesday at UC Health Stadium behind Rob Kelly, who had three RBIs.

Casey Henn struck out nine hitters en route to the the Florence Freedom win. Henn allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks over seven innings.

Seth Granger was solid at the plate for the Lake Erie Crushers. Granger went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Jose Rosario (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
