Anderson Hidalgo knocked in four runs, sparking the Lake Erie Crushers (9-5) to a 7-5 victory over the Joliet Slammers (5-9) on Saturday at All Pro Freight Stadium.
He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.The Joliet Slammers' lineup had no answer for Roberto Padilla. Padilla gave up just two hits, allowed three earned runs, walked four and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Adam Giacalone was hot from the plate for the Joliet Slammers. Giacalone went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
Kody McFarland couldn't get it done on the hill for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
