Steve Marino had three RBIs, helping the Southern Illinois Miners (6-7) to a 9-5 victory over the Normal CornBelters (4-9) on Friday at Rent One Park- Marion, Illinois.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Michael Carden recorded his first win of the year for the Southern Illinois Miners. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Bobby Shore couldn't get it done on the bump for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
