The Evansville Otters (7-4) had a tough outing on Wednesday, as the Normal CornBelters (4-7) dominated in a 14-4 win at The Corn Crib.

The Normal CornBelters scored five runs in the eighth on , a sacrifice fly by Aaron Dudley, an RBI single by Roman Hernandez, a two-run error, and a double by Tyler Shover.

Shover racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters.

Cole Brocker put together a nice outing. Brocker held the Evansville Otters hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Ethan Elias got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked four and surrendered five hits.

Zach Petersime ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked three and struck out two.

The Normal CornBelters easily handled the Evansville Otters pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
