A superb effort by Tyler Lavigne carried the Southern Illinois Miners (8-7) to a 4-0 win over the Lake Erie Crushers (9-6) on Sunday at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.
Lavigne held the Lake Erie Crushers scoreless for seven innings. Lavigne allowed two hits, two walks and struck out six.
Tyler Booth had a hot bat for the Southern Illinois Miners. Booth went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fourth inning.
Roberto Padilla (1-2) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
