The Washington Wild Things (10-4) took down the Rockford Aviators (5-8) 9-3 on Saturday at CONSOL Energy Park after slamming the Rockford Aviators with seven runs in the sixth inning.

The Washington Wild Things scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Garrett Rau, , a passed ball, an RBI single by Stewart Ijames, an RBI single by Ijames, and a two-run single by William Beckwith.

C.J. Beatty reached base three times. He scored two runs and had two RBIs.

The Rockford Aviators couldn't get anything going as long as Zac Fuesser was pitching. Fuesser held the Rockford Aviators hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Edgar Corcino was hot from the plate for the Rockford Aviators. Corcino went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Kyle Brueggemann couldn't get it done on the bump for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out three.
