Extra-inning thriller favors the Florence Freedom, 6-5 winners over the Washington Wild Things

The Florence Freedom (7-7) put in a full day's work in a 10-inning, 6-5 win over the Washington Wild Things (10-4) Sunday at UC Health Stadium.

With the score tied at five, Cole Miles came to the plate and singled, bringing home Sam Eberle.

Nick Stein racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth innings.

Daniel DeSimone improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Florence Freedom. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Jonathan Kountis couldn't get it done on the bump for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
