Hayden Hibberd went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the South Bay Storm (5-5) to a 3-2 victory over the Healdsburg Prune Packers (5-4) on Sunday at Recreation Park.
He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth inning.Ross Slaney put together a nice outing. The Healdsburg Prune Packers managed just two hits off of the the South Bay Storm's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his six innings of work.
The South Bay Storm couldn't get anything going as long as Nate Berumen was pitching. Berumen held the South Bay Storm hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Clayton Gelfand was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
